CEREC LIVE Treatment – Intro
We really feel that on the 29th of September 2013 we left a milestone in our history and in the history of Dentistry.
In a very innovative manner, and using breakthrough tecnology, we broadcast LIVE the complete rehabilitation of an endodontic treated tooth, on a patient, with the new resin nano ceramic CAD/CAM material Lava Ultimate using the latest Sirona CEREC OmniCam chair-side system with CEREC 4.0 Software.
It was a huge success! 🙂
Such kind of live event, without any safety net, is seldom seen worldwide, so having an audience of more than 370 viewers from 28 countries is something to be proud of. Endodontic treatment is only finished after complete rehabilitation and crown restoration of teeth. With the recent years development of CAD-CAM systems on the market, this restoration has became faster, more accurate and reliable.
We show and explain step by step all the procedures necessary to prep, acquire, design, mill, polish, characterize and adhere a Lava Ultimate overlay using the CEREC and the brand new CEREC 4.0 OmniCam.
We were very lucky and honored to have our friend Dr. Paulo Monteiro colaborating in this event, sharing his passion and expertise on esthetic rehabilitation.
Paulo Monteiro is an world renowed Portuguese dentist. He was very involved in the development of the new Lava Ultimate resin CAD/CAM blocks, and he’s an opinion leader for 3M Espe. Nowadays, he runs the world presenting on esthetic dentistry and dental photography.
